American Red Cross
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
The Carolina Piedmont Region comprises 10 chapters that cover 14 counties in North Carolina. The concept of the region is for the chapters to pool mutual aid and resources to better provide services to their clients. This provides a network that uses a team effort to tackle challenges - such as disasters - that may be more than just one chapter can handle by itself.
